The Wine development release 1.1.39 is now available. "What's new in this release (see below for details): - Support for registry symbolic links. - Many MSI fixes. - Build process improvements. - MSXML cleanups and fixes. - A number of MSHTML improvements. - Various bug fixes." Thanks in advance.
+1. Compiled here copying over the old ebuild over the new one and it compiled quite fine and it works (~amd64). I hope someone adds it to portage soon :)
Thanks for confirming that your upgrading technique worked. I've been waiting for the latest Wine, but time is flying and will go ahead and follow your suggestion. (tax time in the U.S., and TaxAct freeware on Wine is a life saver)
Compiled, runs on x86. 1.1.39. Just an ebuild filename version bump from 1.1.38. Installed versions: 1.1.39!t[?](00:44:56 03/01/10)(X alsa cups dbus fontconfig gecko gnutls hal jpeg lcms ldap mp3 ncurses opengl oss perl png samba ssl threads truetype xcomposite xinerama xml -capi -custom-cflags -esd -gphoto2 -gsm -jack -nas -openal -scanner -test -win64) Cheers!
P.S. My scripted WineTricks ritual seems to run through MSIs a bit faster now. .NET 1.1 setup was much faster. But that could be the crack talking.
now in the tree, cheers
Thank you, would be great if you can add this, too: http://www.winehq.org/announce/1.1.40
done, thanks
