mail-client/pine-4.60 depends on app-crypt/mit-krb5 instead of virtual/krb5.
If heimdal is used instead of mit-krb5, then portage will try to install mit-krb5 as well, which gets blocked.

Reproducible: Always

Recent enough versions of Heimdal and mit-krb5 are similar enough for pine to compile without much problems with both of them.

Fix pine compilation to accommodate both mit-krb5 and heimdal

Pine build system is a little messy, however my patch is not supposed to introduce any more disorder than already exists there.
