ppp cycles between version 2.4.1-r14 and version 2.4.2_beta3 with each invocation of:

# emerge -pu --deep world

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

this should not happen, since beta3 is hardmasked, emerge rsync and try again

After:

# emerge sync
# emerge portage

cycling between versions for both 'ocml' and 'ppp' has ceased. Thanks.
