Just a FYI, I installed 10.1 livedvd via lightning fast install method (http://www.gentoo-wiki.info/HOWTO_Lightning_fast_install_from_LiveCD) and the 64 bit initrd does not have evms_activate so it cannot be used for an evms root. I don't know how this would effect "normal" installs (because I didn't do one :) ). The 32 bit version works fine. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. boot livedvd 2. follow livecd lightning fast install page (above) including evms root (e.g. raid) 3. try and boot 64 bit kernel/initrd 4. at error, drop to busy box shell (by entering "shell") 5. type "evms_activate" (get command not found) Actual Results: cannot find root. Expected Results: should not error on boot but just go right in. I would imagine this might cause problems down the road for someone trying to install a 64 bit version. Regardless it's an inconsistancy and that can't be good.
evms is on its way out of the tree, so I'm closing this as WONTFIX.
