(net-dialup/ppp-2.4.4-r24  USE="dhcp mppe-mppc pam -activefilter -atm -eap-tls -gtk -ipv6 -radius" ) refuses to achieve mppe connection.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
0. Environnement is LXDE, newworkmanager, ppp, networkmanager-pppd
1. Configure a new VPN connection in nm-applet including activation of MPPE requirement in VPN Tab/Advanced.
2. Open the VPN Connection -> Failed Request
3. 
Actual Results:  
1. VPN Connection reported to fail by nm-applet
2. Check in /var/log/messages the following lines are reported :

Expected Results:  
1. nm-applet should report VPN connection to be opened

all ppp options in kernel have been selected.

mppe-mppc USE flag has to be removed from 
> net-dialup/ppp mppe-mppc
in /etc/portage/package.use file

So it finally works.
This USE flag is very confusing !
