trying to do a standard ebuild of vpnc. after vinillia installations I got the error. attempted fixes have been everything from putting USE="ssl openssl gnutls" all together or one at a time either at the cli before emerge portage/package.use and make.conf. vpnc will not build with openssl support???? You could at the very least fix this one: --- Invalid atom in /etc/portage/package.use: USE=ssl Other than that, you should probably attach a full build log for net-misc/vpnc. The package does support USE=hybrid-auth which you might want to enable.
Oh, and it could hardly be called critical...
