soccar-0.5.2 fails to compile after "emerge dev-games/ogre-0.12.0".
Why, why do people ignore the request to post the output of emerge --info on the bug submission page? Please don't skip this when reporting bugs. Please post the output of emerge --info. Thanks.
i assume you're refering to this error: app.cpp: In member function `void Application::configure()': app.cpp:82: error: `showDebugOverlay' undeclared (first use this function) app.cpp:82: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once for each function it appears in.) app.cpp: In member function `bool Application::processInput(Ogre::InputReader*, const Ogre::FrameEvent&)': app.cpp:293: error: `showDebugOverlay' undeclared (first use this function) in the future, sparse bug reports like this are generally frowned upon and not helpful
http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/ogre/ogrenew/OgreMain/include/OgreRoot.h?r1=1.20&r2=1.21 http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/ogre/ogrenew/OgreMain/src/OgreRoot.cpp.diff?r1=1.41&r2=1.42 oddly, the cvs comments seem unrelated to this change ... i'll talk to the ogre devs to find out whats up
Created attachment 18855 [details] output from "emerge --verbose --info" This is the output from "emerge --info --verbose"; I don't know if the information is useful with respect to this bug.
ok, soccar needs some work ... i'm tired of patchin this thing so ive just masked it out ... ive e-mailed the author upstream about some the issues so if/when he gets back to me we'll revist this ... for now the answer is 'use ogre-0.11.0 or play a different game' ;)
