ifplugd is on version 0.17b now and the program's author seems to have moved to a more long-term website. both updates are reflected in the .ebuild attached. maybe the HOMEPAGE variable in libdaemon-0.2.ebuild should be updated too.
Created attachment 18813 [details] The updated .ebuild
Created attachment 18818 [details] new version of /etc/init.d/ifplugd The 0.15er version of /etc/init.d/ifplugd was broken when --wait-on-fork was specified. This new script tries to fix it. As a side effect of the fix /etc/conf.d/ifplugd has become more readable (IMHO), since all options are written in plain text now - as usual for other config files of gentoo.
Created attachment 18819 [details] new verrsion of /etc/conf.d/ifplugd See comment for /etc/init.d/ifplugd.
The version 0.18 is out.
Version 0.19 is now available.
As of 0.15 the ebuild has a bug where it doesn't correctly depend on lynx or disable the use of lynx on the configure line. I'm reporting this here because the attached ebuild to this bug report is also missing this depend. There is also an optional dependicy on xmltoman. the ifplugd ./confgure --help lists: --disable-lynx Turn off lynx usage for documentation generation --disable-xmltoman Disable rebuilding of man pages with xmltoman If you run configure without lynx installed it errors with: checking for lynx... no configure: error: *** Sorry, you have to install lynx or use --disable-lynx *** If you run configure without xmltoman it complains with: checking for xmltoman... no configure: WARNING: *** Not rebuilding man pages as xmltoman is not found ***
I added the new config format and other fixes, to the 0.20 ebuild. Please test, and thanks for your assistance!
