avifile-0.7.4.20020426-r1, galeon-1.2.1-r2 and galeon-1.2.2 all compile without problem with gcc version 2.95.3. Time to unmask em
okay... galeon-1.2.1-r2 was obsoleted by galeon-1.2.2. 1.2.2 was waiting on someone to test it with gcc3.1. i tested it with 3.1 and it works. so i wrote to rphilips@gentoo.org and he will unmask it. avifile-0.7.4.20020426-r1 will wait on input from azarah@gentoo.org, since avifile has been tricky historically (apparently). if azarah thinks it's okay, then i'll unmask it. thanks for the qa!
