Okay, this is not really a "Server Problem" but rsync8.de.gentoo.org has a very
minimalitic motd announcing only its dns name. According to
http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/rsync.xml the admin is asked to put some other
information as well like contact information and location. Could you pass it on
to the admin?

The request has been made to all mirror maintainers.  Currently,
rsync8.de.gentoo.org mentions at least which server they are 
(rsync8.de).  Some mirror admins don't like to put up too much 
info.
