This is preventing a 'world' update. Should I open a new bug, and/or reassign this current one?
Comment 6 Thomas Sachau gentoo-dev 2010-03-11 20:22:51 UTC
You can use something like "emerge --resume --skipfirst" or "--keep-going" option of portage to continue your world update for now, assigning the bug to maintainers
Comment 7 Mark Loeser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-03-11 20:33:46 UTC
You are still using gcc-4.1.2. Please use gcc-config and select the current stable version which is 4.3.4 and try again.
Comment 8 brant williams 2010-03-12 23:58:18 UTC
Thanks for the feedback, guys. :)

After changing the compiler profile to GCC 4.3.4, I attempted to emerge glibc again, and encountered the same problem.

# gcc-config -l
 [1] x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-4.1.2
 [2] x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-4.3.4 *
Comment 9 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2010-08-14 01:38:49 UTC
try with FEATURES=-sandbox
Comment 10 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2010-08-19 23:10:07 UTC
and try with sandbox-2.3
