Description Hans Rakers 2010-02-02 12:59:21 UTC
Stable net-firewall/ipsec-tools-0.7.3 needs recent kernel headers to compile, something newer than the currently stable linux-headers-2.6.27-r2 (for AMD64).

Yes i know there are plenty of bugs about ipsec-tools not compiling, but pretty much all arches seem to have linux-headers-2.4.33.3 as stable now, and AMD64 is still stuck on 2.6.27-r2

Reproducible: Always

I don't know which portage tree you are using, but mine has as latest version 2.6.30-r1 which isn't stable on no arch. Latest stable is 2.6.27-r2.

Hmz you are right. Guess that does make this a dupe of 264233. Sorry for the noise.

Question remains why linux-headers is still stuck on 2.6.27 while there have been a lot of stable >=2.6.29 gentoo-sources already.
