Description Justin Rittenhouse 2010-02-02 01:51:23 UTC
Pages randomly show up as unavailable, even if they are available via ping or another browser. For instance, attempting to type http://facebook.com loads "This webpage is not available" for a period of time, but then begins functioning after a few minutes. It appears similar to upstream issue 22623 (http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=22623), but I'm using the latest unmasked unstable version. This may have occurred in the pre -r1 release, although I've noticed it somewhat frequently today after updating last night and I'm not positive it happened previously.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Type an address in the address bar and hit Enter
Actual Results:
Page doesn't load

Expected Results:
Page loads

It appears to last for a few minutes, although I haven't actually timed it. Other pages continue to load while the one that errors does not. It appears to be DNS related, as all pages of a domain stop functioning temporarily (wired.com/article-xyz doesn't work, so wired.com/article-123 won't either).

Comment 2 Paweł Hajdan, Jr. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-02-08 13:08:56 UTC
Please report the bug upstream, http://new.crbug.com, and post the link here. Doesn't look like a Gentoo bug.
