Version bump (needs to be called 1.8.0) works for me (amd64). 3 tests fail, but 1.7.1 tests isn't very reliable either on my setup. I would actually prefer 1.8.0 since those looks solvable - 1.7.1 tests just freezes in places.

Those freezes may be caused by the lack of random numbers from /dev/random - that's what bit me when using 1.7.1 - it has been changed in 1.8.0 (see the "The entropy pool's reading of /dev/random could cause dnspython to block." part in the linked ChangeLog).
