As mentioned in bug 128129 comment 4, busybox provides a vi implementation. I think adding a symlink /usr/bin/vi -> /bin/bb to the stage3 will ease the minds of many vim users which are unaware of busybox vi, without unreasonably increasing the size of the stage3. The symlink will be overwritten when vim is selected in eselect vi, so should not cause any problems at a later time. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
The builds are automated, and I won't add this to catalyst. If you want it created anywhere, it'll have to be the busybox ebuild, but it doesn't create the symlinks by default.
