Description Seong-Kook Shin 2010-01-26 14:37:31 UTC
Firefox crashes when loading a java enabled page if configured to use java plugin of blackdown-jre-1.4.2.03:

$ firefox
INTERNAL ERROR on Browser End: Could not get the JVM manager
System error?:: Success
$ _

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch firefox and load a url with java enabled page. (e.g. Korean portal, http://news.daum.net/ )
2.
3.

Actual Results:
$ firefox
INTERNAL ERROR on Browser End: Could not get the JVM manager
System error?:: Success
$ _

Expected Results:
Loading the web page successfully.

To overcome this problem, remove the link to the blackdown java plugin(javaplugin.so) in /usr/lib/nsbrowser/plugins/

Or use the plugin from the sun-jre-bin-1.6.0.17

Hm, I'm not sure where does this blackdown-jre comes from? I don't see it in our tree.
Comment 2 Vlastimil Babka (Caster) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-01-26 22:13:50 UTC
blackdown-jre was removed some month ago
