Description Andrew John Hughes 2010-01-25 20:45:55 UTC
!!! All ebuilds that could satisfy "media-fonts/corefonts" have been masked.
!!! One of the following masked packages is required to complete your request:
- media-fonts/corefonts-1-r4 (masked by: MSttfEULA license(s))
A copy of the 'MSttfEULA' license is located at '/usr/portage/licenses/MSttfEULA'.

Removing this dependency causes Chromium to build and run just fine. If it is really necessary to depend on certain fonts, can liberation-fonts please be provided as an alternative?

Reproducible: Always

corefonts is pulled in as it was listed on some deps list in the chromium wiki. Last time we checked we were not sure they were still mandatory, but if it works for you without, probably not!

Pawel, any objections on removing this dep? Choosing which set of fonts should be pulled in is not really application-level dependencies (for "normal" apps at least)

Tested on my system, and it works fine without corefonts. Also fixed for chromium-bin. Thanks for the report.
