Heuristica is a font by Andrey Panov based on the "Adobe Utopia" font that was released to the TeX Users Group under a liberal license. It is distributed under the terms of the OFL.

Upon further reflection, since OpenOffice < 3.2 can't handle OTF fonts, and since Andrey Panov has put so much effort into hinting the TrueType fonts, perhaps it would be better to support the TTF instead of the OTF.
Heuristica 0.2.1 has been released.

Committed to tree as media-fonts/heuristica-0.2.1. It installs ttf, otf and type1 versions. Thanks for the report and the ebuild :)
