Description Elias Probst 2010-01-20 09:13:18 UTC
I'm currently running open-iscsi-2.0.871-r1 on gentoo-sources-2.6.28-r5

Upgrading to gentoo-sources > 2.6.30 causes open-iscsi (iscsid) to fail on startup, as there were some things in the module naming changed.

According to the changelog of open-iscsi-2.0.871.1 this should be fixed now:
iscsi mod: update Makefile for 2.6.31 and .32 support

So please bump open-iscsi to the latest available release from here: http://kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/mnc/open-iscsi/releases/

Thanks & best regards,
Elias P.

Reproducible: Always

Ah, I used to only look at http://www.open-iscsi.org/.

The CVE fix did not make it into open-iscsi-2.0.871.3, we still need it.
So, just bumping to -r3 works fine.
Tested on Kernel 2.6.32, it compiled fine, I didn't test it much, though.

I'm already running it on 2.6.32-gentoo-r6 (amd64) and it works great so far.
