Every time I run update-modules, I get this warning: "Please file a bug about /etc/modules.d/hsf: it needs an /etc/modprobe.d/hsf". Since I wasn't able to find any other bug-report about this, here it is. (I'm not sure if this problem applies to Linuxant HSF drivers in general or if it only applies to hsfmodem on Gentoo Linux. Let me know if I should contact Linuxant instead.) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install net-dialup/hsfmodem 2. Run (as root) update-modules Actual Results: update-modules outputs: * Please file a bug about /etc/modules.d/hsf: it needs an /etc/modprobe.d/hsf * Updating modprobe.conf by hand ... [ ok ] Expected Results: The hsf file in /etc/modules.d/hsf should be in /etc/modprobe.d/hsf instead and the warning should not appear. (At least that's what I deduce from the warning.) I believe that earlier versions (though they probably won't run on the latest kernel) also have this bug.
