I can't select CPU frequency in GNOME 2.28, however it is fully working in GNOME 2.26

Feel free to ask me to provide any additional data.

- Please update to gnome-applets-2.28.x (see your emerge -pv)
- Do you use polkit ? If you don't, please disable policykit USE flag from hal and gnome-applets, then try again

thanks, removing policykit flag did the trick
