Attach full build log, that environment file... and the chances are it will be a parallel make problem anyway.
Reopen with full build.log and emerge --info.

Why do you have a Qt4 installation in /opt/qt4 ?
(In reply to comment #6) > Why do you have a Qt4 installation in /opt/qt4 ? > Don't know but clearly this isn't supported.
It's in /opt/qt4, because that's where I put it. :) It shouldn't matter right?
(In reply to comment #8) > It's in /opt/qt4, because that's where I put it. :) > > It shouldn't matter right? > /opt in Gentoo is used as prefix for installation of binary-only applications from Portage Compiling qca from Portage against handbuilt Qt4 in /opt is not supported. Move your custom install to sane path, profit
(In reply to comment #9) > Compiling qca from Portage against handbuilt Qt4 in /opt is not supported. Move > your custom install to sane path, profit Read that as: you can reopen this bug only if you can reproduce it using a vanilla Gentoo Qt4 install. You cannot expect us to support things you changed.

You cannot expect us to support things you changed. > That last sentence is kinda funny in this context. It used to work (read: find my /opt/qt4) then stopped working on that last ebuild change. The ebuild 'fix' is what broke things on my system. Possibly in the future I'll emerge gentoo's qt4 but for now I'll just unmerge qca and manually build from sources. thanks.
