Comment 2 Adrian Almenar 2003-10-01 14:03:06 UTC

Comment 3 Arnaud Boudou 2003-10-01 22:35:10 UTC

gcc version 3.3.1 20030916 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.1-r4, propolice)

I also tried an other VM (installed binarie sun-jdk then compiled sun-j2sdk),
and none of them gave me this error message.
Comment 4 Adrian Almenar 2003-11-07 22:48:08 UTC
I have tested a lot blackdown-jdk-1.4.1 and this never happens to me also
im using:
Portage 2.0.49-r15 (default-x86-1.4, gcc-3.3.2, glibc-2.3.2-r8, 2.6.0-test9)

Azarah, can you comment on this, i dont find out why this is happening, if
you have any idea it will be welcome !
Comment 5 Martin Schlemmer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-11-09 15:20:07 UTC
This is possible with the version of glibc and gcc he uses. If he want nptl,
he should really consider updating to latest gcc/glibc/binutils in unstable.
Comment 6 Arnaud Boudou 2003-11-10 03:58:38 UTC
with last versions of gcc, binutils, glibc and blackdown-jdk, its now works
without any error.
Comment 7 Adrian Almenar 2003-11-10 18:36:05 UTC
I think this is 1 in a 1.000.000 case, so ill close it, ill try to check
more, but i cannot guarantee anything, i use blackdown-jdk everyday and never
had something like this.

Ill close as fixed cause also this is a binary package and its closer to
nothing what can be done with it.
Comment 8 Joel Roth 2004-09-14 12:21:32 UTC
Hi, I hope this gets read... I'm having the same problem (sig11 on libc.so.6 when trying to do anyting in Java), I tried reemerging glibc, gcc and binutils from ~x86, I'm still having problems.

gcc: 3.4.2-r1
glibc: 2.3.4.20040808
binutils: 2.15.90.0.1.1-r3
blackdown-jdk: 1.4.2_rc1-r1
blackdown-jre: 1.4.1
kernel: 2.6.7-love5
comp: Athlon XP 2100+, 256mb ddr333

I tested my memory and it's all fine. I've been killing myself trying to get this to work, but nothing helps. Please tell me there's a working solution ^_^;;
