During emerge kde m4 issues an error:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge kdeadmin-3.1.4

Actual Results:  
no build, see error message above

Expected Results:  
run configure & build stuff

the m4 problem has been reported on several platforms and is fixed in CVS a few days ago.

The problem has to do with AC_HELPMESSAGE or so...

nope, kde isn't yet compatible with autoconf 2.57a.  You need to downgrade.
