Gentoo now packages qBittorrent v2.x but some dependencies are outdated:

dev-libs/zziplib <- Dropped since v2.0.0
net-misc/curl <- Dropped since v2.0.0
dev-cpp/commoncpp2" <- Dropped from a long time

Maybe you could add a dependency on libnotify too. qBittorrent can use this library for better system notification integration. It adds a few dependencies though so this is your choice.
