Description Ruud de Bruin 2003-09-30 14:31:12 UTC
Install Gentoo from scratch using the installation instructions (stage3).
After the final step the system should be rebooted. At this point the /mnt
directory is not present.
This problem occurs with the latest build of Gentoo (1.4.1). With the previous
build (1.4.0) if worked fine.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Installed Gentoo 5 times from scrath with different CD sets. Same results.
2.
3.

Actual Results:
System rebooted OK. But /mnt is missing and therefore e.g. the user could not
mount a CD. At the moment the users should create this directory
manually: /mnt, /mnt/floppy, /mnt/cdrom etc.

Expected Results:
The installation procedure should create the /mnt directory structure as it
did in 1.4.0.

this is odd, but I can see that the /mnt directory is in the current stage3. So not sure how to reproduce this.

Moving these so we can remove the "Install CD" component from "Gentoo Linux".

I apologize to everyone for this spam, but according to the bugzilla developers,
this is the only reasonable way to do this.
