if using ssvncviewer (from ssvnc-package) in listen-mode keyboard inputs didn't receive the other vnc-instance. the keystrokes are send to the window which has focus at last (e.g. yakuake, console, ...). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge ssvnc-1.0.2{4,5} 2. start "ssvncviewer -listen 0" 3. use e.g. ultravnc-singleclick to connect to ssvncviewer on port 5500 Actual Results: Keyboard inputs didn't work on ssvncviewer. Expected Results: Keyboard inputs should work on ssvncviewer. #~ $ emerge --info Portage 2.1.6.13 (default/linux/amd64/10.0, gcc-4.3.4, glibc-2.9_p20081201-r2, 2.6.30-gentoo-r5 x86_64) ================================================================= System uname: Linux-2.6.30-gentoo-r5-x86_64-Intel-R-_Core-TM-2_Duo_CPU_T9300_@_2.50GHz-with-gentoo-1.12.13 Timestamp of tree: Wed, 06 Jan 2010 08:45:01 +0000 app-shells/bash: 4.0_p35 dev-java/java-config: 1.3.7-r1, 2.1.9-r2 dev-lang/python: 2.4.6, 2.5.4-r3, 2.6.4 dev-python/pycrypto: 2.1.0_beta1 dev-util/cmake: 2.6.4-r3 sys-apps/baselayout: 1.12.13 sys-apps/sandbox: 1.6-r2 sys-devel/autoconf: 2.13, 2.63-r1 sys-devel/automake: 1.5, 1.7.9-r1, 1.9.6-r2, 1.10.2 sys-devel/binutils: 2.18-r3 sys-devel/gcc-config: 1.4.1 sys-devel/libtool: 2.2.6b virtual/os-headers: 2.6.27-r2 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="amd64" CBUILD="x86_64-pc-linux-gnu" CFLAGS="-O2 -march=nocona -fomit-frame-pointer -pipe" CHOST="x86_64-pc-linux-gnu" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/share/X11/xkb /usr/share/config /var/lib/hsqldb" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/ca-certificates.conf /etc/env.d /etc/env.d/java/ /etc/eselect/postgresql /etc/fonts/fonts.conf /etc/gconf /etc/php/apache2-php5/ext-active/ /etc/php/cgi-php5/ext-active/ /etc/php/cli-php5/ext-active/ /etc/revdep-rebuild /etc/sandbox.d /etc/terminfo /etc/texmf/language.dat.d /etc/texmf/language.def.d /etc/texmf/updmap.d /etc/texmf/web2c /etc/udev/rules.d" CXXFLAGS="-O2 -march=nocona -fomit-frame-pointer -pipe" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="distlocks fixpackages parallel-fetch protect-owned sandbox sfperms strict unmerge-orphans userfetch" GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://gentoo-portage.ipv6.tu-ilmenau.de/mirror/gentoo" LDFLAGS="-Wl,-O1" MAKEOPTS="-j3" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_CONFIGROOT="/" PORTAGE_RSYNC_EXTRA_OPTS="--timeout=10" PORTAGE_RSYNC_OPTS="--recursive --links --safe-links --perms --times --compress --force --whole-file --delete --stats --timeout=180 --exclude=/distfiles --exclude=/local --exclude=/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="/usr/local/portage /usr/local/portage-fem-overlay" SYNC="rsync://gentoo-portage.ipv6.tu-ilmenau.de/gentoo-portage" USE="X acl acpi alsa amd64 bash-completion berkdb bzip2 cli cracklib crypt cups cxx dbus dri fortran gdbm gif gpm hal iconv ipv6 java jpeg kde mmx modules mudflap multilib ncurses nls nptl nptlonly openmp pam pcre perl png pppd python qt3 qt3support qt4 readline reflection samba session spl sse sse2 ssl sysfs tcpd threads unicode xinerama xorg xulrunner xvmc zlib" ALSA_CARDS="ali5451 als4000 atiixp atiixp-modem bt87x ca0106 cmipci emu10k1x ens1370 ens1371 es1938 es1968 fm801 hda-intel intel8x0 intel8x0m maestro3 trident usb-audio via82xx via82xx-modem ymfpci" ALSA_PCM_PLUGINS="adpcm alaw asym copy dmix dshare dsnoop empty extplug file hooks iec958 ioplug ladspa lfloat linear meter mmap_emul mulaw multi null plug rate route share shm softvol" APACHE2_MODULES="actions alias auth_basic authn_alias authn_anon authn_dbm authn_default authn_file authz_dbm authz_default authz_groupfile authz_host authz_owner authz_user autoindex cache dav dav_fs dav_lock deflate dir disk_cache env expires ext_filter file_cache filter headers include info log_config logio mem_cache mime mime_magic negotiation rewrite setenvif speling status unique_id userdir usertrack vhost_alias" CAMERAS="canon" DVB_CARDS="usb-wt220u" ELIBC="glibc" INPUT_DEVICES="evdev" KERNEL="linux" LCD_DEVICES="bayrad cfontz cfontz633 glk hd44780 lb216 lcdm001 mtxorb ncurses text" RUBY_TARGETS="ruby18" SANE_BACKENDS="niash net snapscan" USERLAND="GNU" VIDEO_CARDS="nvidia" Unset: CPPFLAGS, CTARGET, EMERGE_DEFAULT_OPTS, FFLAGS, INSTALL_MASK, LANG, LC_ALL, LINGUAS, PORTAGE_COMPRESS, PORTAGE_COMPRESS_FLAGS
Created attachment 215387 [details, diff] ssvnc-1.0.24.ebuild.patch patch for ebuild based on 1.0.22 (which didn't have this bug)
Created attachment 215388 [details, diff] ssvnc-1.0.25.ebuild.patch patch for ebuild based on 1.0.22 (which didn't have this bug)
Between ebuild from 1.0.22 and 1.0.24 there are many differences in creating/patching some Makefiles. i patched the ebuild of 1.0.2{4,5} due basis on 1.0.22 and removed the seperate Makefiles. Packages are build and bug seems to be solved. Maybe someone with some more skills in build process and Makefiles should review my patches ;)
Comment on attachment 215387 [details, diff] ssvnc-1.0.24.ebuild.patch we're not going this route
try changing $FILESDIR/Makefile.vncviewer by adding this line: CFLAGS += -fno-strength-reduce -fno-strict-aliasing -DMITSHM and see if emerging 1.0.24/25 works again
(In reply to comment #5) > try changing $FILESDIR/Makefile.vncviewer by adding this line: > CFLAGS += -fno-strength-reduce -fno-strict-aliasing -DMITSHM > > and see if emerging 1.0.24/25 works again keyboard-inputs are now passed to remote side. But after pressing "F8"-key the ssvnc-popup won't be shown :/
but does the F8 key work the old imake build system (i.e. your patches) ?
(In reply to comment #7) > but does the F8 key work the old imake build system (i.e. your patches) ? F8 key works as expected with the submitted ebuilds...
should be fixed in cvs now -- needed to link more libraries
(In reply to comment #9) > should be fixed in cvs now -- needed to link more libraries Everythings seems to be fine ;) Thx
