Description Jouni Rinne 2010-01-06 11:06:49 UTC
Well, I finally got Opera-10.50_pre6177 running, but it uses 100% of CPU all the time (to be exact, about 50/50 between opera and Xorg). Also, I cannot believe they have switched to static-qt releases again, the compiled-in qt doesn't detect and/or use my qt4 font, color or theme settings. I hope they are not using qt3 internally???

I'm going to remove Opera for good, at least from this laptop. 10.50 seems to be utter crap...

(I'm sorry, I know this is not a proper bugreport, I just had to vent out my frustration with Opera somewhere)

They aren't using Qt at all. Please read the labs and desktopteam blogs.

It's a bleedin' pre-alpha release - what did you f'ing expect? Stick to 10.10 if you want something reliable, and don't unmask versions that you don't trust.

Closing then. Reopen this bug report if you find you do have something useful to contribute to the Gentoo project.
