Please stabilize sci-visualization/opendx-4.4.4-r4, it is in much better state than current stable, and has been bug free for a month.

Merging mesa of course solved the issue. Sorry for the noise.

Maybe something like virtual/opengl-7.0 or virtual/glu-7.0 should be added to DEPEND?

Tested =sci-visualization/opendx-4.4.4-r4 on x86 chroot:
 * ~x86 dep: none
 * test suite: none
 * flags combination: -*, *
 * add. info: followed tutorial on: http://tinyurl.com/qdnsc  and get expected results

Looking at the config log you can see that the config script
worked out that there was no GL - it should really have stop
or disabled those parts.
Both libGL and libGLU are required I cannot see one of the virtual
implying the other so I think I will add both.
