Thanks for the note.

I'll bump this when I move paraview over to the cmake-utils.eclass
sometime this week.

cheers,
Markus

Might it be possible, to install the python bindings from paraview (/usr/lib/paraview-3.6/paraview) into the correct place under /usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/paraview/ as debian/ubuntu does,
or at least include /usr/lib/paraview-3.6 in the python paths as default? So that "from paraview.simple import *" in a python shell, works without any additional sys.path settings.

Thanks in advance,
Oliver

I've added paraview-3.6.2 to portage.

I was unable to track down how to tell paraview where
to install the python stuff. Hence, for now, I've added the
python dir to the PYTHONPATH which seems to work fine
for me. Please let me know if there are still issues with
python.

Cheers,
Markus
