Mixxx 1.7.2 has been released: http://www.mixxx.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1000 On my local PORTDIR_OVERLAY the ebuild for 1.7.1, renamed to 1.7.2 and updated in the Manifest with the command: ebuild mixxx-1.7.2.ebuild manifest compiles, installs and works unmodified. Tested it on a dual-boot gentoo x86/amd64. The ebuild for 1.7.1 renamed for 1.7.2 works on both architectures. Ciao.
Confirmed amd64 & x86. Anyone know anyone that maybe able to confirm this on ppc? I would like to recommend 1.7 beta 2 for removal and mark 1.7.2 as stable.
Created attachment 217141 [details] mixxx-1.7.2.ebuild So at some point the old issue of pasuspender being prepended to the mixxx command in the desktop file. That causes issues if your only using alsa and not pulse audio. Use flag added for pulseaudio. Added runtime depend for pulse audio if flag is set. Patch is applied to remove pasuspender if pulseaudio use flag is not set. Added ppc64 keyword. (PLEASE test ppc and ppc64 and report back) Made amd64 and x86 'green'. I havn't had or heard of any problems but please report any issues you find

30 days since confirmation of bumped ebuild with no issues. Almost 2 months since upstream release. Why is this still open?

Why is this still open? > Because there is no designated maintainer for this package and because I don't have access to add it to the tree. There is also a recent issue with media-libs/libdjconsole and udev. I think the driver is included with mixxx now so this maybe as simple as removing the libdjconsole package and just compiling with +djconsole. Unfortunately I dont have a djconsole to test with so if you have one please let me know.
