Description walt 2002-05-24 07:37:20 UTC
avifile compiles OK on gcc 2.x but fails with gcc3.

This, in turn, blocks media-sound/xmms from building,
which is what I was really trying for ;-)

if you just want xmms to work, without avi support do:

USE="-avi" emerge xmms, and that will work. Meanwhile, Matt, please have a look
at this.

Seemant, the avifile-0.7.4-*-r1 i submitted to cvs, fixes gcc3.1 for me.
Looking at avifile's homepage, it might be that avifile-0.7.7 includes gcc3.1
fixes by default. I know we've had avifile woes before, so I'll leave the
version bump to someone else in the know.
