Description Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2009-12-28 19:05:13 UTC
Well, this is not a real major problem since it works anyway but, when I was going to stable both on amd64, I checked their deps and seen the following:
gtk-engines-murrine-0.90.3-r1.ebuild:
RDEPEND=">=x11-libs/gtk+-2.12
        themes? ( x11-themes/murrine-themes )"

I think that it should PDEPEND instead of RDEPEND on murrine-themes because gtk-engines-murrine will still work at runtime without the themes, while murrine-themes-0.90.0-r1.ebuild has:
PDEPEND=">=x11-themes/gtk-engines-murrine-0.90.3-r1"

and I think that it should be RDEPEND since murrine-themes won't work if gtk-engines-murrine are not installed

But maybe I am missing something :-/

Then, for summarizing, murrine-themes should RDEPEND on gtk-engines-murrine and, because of it, gtk-engines-murrine should PDEPEND on murrine-themes to prevent circular deps problems

Thanks

Reproducible: Always

Well, it started off with me splitting murrine-themes out of gtk-engines-murrine for 0.90.3, hence adding USE=themes for pulling in murrine-themes (to RDEPEND); then people started installing murrine-themes and expecting it to work, so I added gtk-engines-murrine to PDEPEND.

But of course you're right, I'll fix it.

Fixed without a bump, thanks for reporting.
