Comment 2 Gilles Dartiguelongue (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-12-27 14:30:16 UTC
Sounds like a games-ggz problem actually.
Comment 3 Mr. Bones. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-12-30 01:55:11 UTC
How is "File cannot be written to..." a problem with games-ggz?
Comment 4 Gilles Dartiguelongue (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-12-31 10:38:36 UTC
dunno, but the ebuild just doesn't touch that kind of file directly. It occurs to me the ebuild inherits ggz something and calls it in various phases and as gnome team doesn't know anything about it, I thought games would.
Comment 5 Mr. Bones. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-12-31 22:30:02 UTC
reopen with more evidence that this failure is related to games-ggz and not just user error. So far it looks like a local setup issue to me.
Comment 6 Jeroen Roovers (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-01-01 06:54:37 UTC
wtf?
Comment 7 Jeroen Roovers (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-01-01 06:55:33 UTC
No one said games was to resolve this bug anyhow. It's something I encounter and I don't know whose responsibility this is, but it stays open, right?
Comment 8 Mr. Bones. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-01-01 06:58:52 UTC
Add back games if it turns out to be an issue with games-ggz
Comment 9 Gilles Dartiguelongue (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-01-01 17:57:45 UTC
I've checked the automake rules and I see nothing wrong with it. We have no clue how ggz works so it's difficult to see what to do now if games herd doesn't want to help.
Comment 10 Gilles Dartiguelongue (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-01-01 17:59:57 UTC
erm, forgot to ask, could you confirm that if you go in the folder of another game using ggz (like gnibbles) and try make install DESTDIR="blabla" if gails as well ?
Comment 11 Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2010-05-07 10:43:48 UTC
Does this also fail with gnome-games-2.28* ?
