Whilst not explicitly mentioned, this has now been FIXED in 0.10.3-r1.  Thanks for the report...  5:)

Is the fix in the x11 overlay as well? If not, keeping this open until someone in the X team syncs it with portage.

Sorry, you're quite right, I've pushed this into the 9999 ebuild as well.  Please feel free to re-open this if there's any further issues...  5:)
