Description Ben Hirsch 2003-09-27 19:38:22 UTC
Whenever I try opening a second instance of Mozilla Firebird, I get a dialog
with this error message:

Error launching browser window: TypeError:
Component.classes['@mozilla.org/appshell/component/browser/instance;1'] has no
properties

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open an instance of Mozilla Firebird (command: MozillaFirebird)
2. Run the command again
Actual Results:
An error dialog appeared.

Expected Results:
A new browser window.

The -remote switch also yields the same result. This is reproducable under both
the mozilla-firebird and mozilla-firebird-bin packages.

are you running thunderbird ?
Comment 2 Ben Hirsch 2003-09-27 21:59:12 UTC
Yes. However, the problem existed before I had merged Thunderbird. I am also
unable to use -remote with Thunderbird to open a new message composition
window. If it makes any difference, I am using Gnome 2.2.2.

These issues have been corrected in later releases of firebird/thunderbird
