Description Niko Böckerman 2009-12-20 09:39:58 UTC
Ogre-1.6.4 doesn't recognize the configure option --enable-threading which is enabled with use-flag threads, and gives a QA Notice.

 * QA Notice: command not found:
 *
 *      /var/tmp/portage/dev-games/ogre-1.6.4/temp/environment: line 3163: --enable-threading: command not found

Ogres configure states this about the threading option:
--enable-threading=type Indicate general support for multithreading. This will
                         enable threading support in certain parts of the engine
                         mainly resource loading and SharedPtr handling.
                         WARNING: highly experimental, use with caution.
                          full: Another thready may call the graphics lib
                          semi: Calls to graphics lib come from the main thread
                          no [default]: the application uses a single thread

In the end of the configuration the summary says that support for threading is not enabled. I'll attach the complete build log.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. USE="threads" emerge ogre -v

Actual Results:
Gives QA Notice of a command not found.

Expected Results:
Threading should be enabled.

# emerge --info ogre

Comment 2 Niko Böckerman 2009-12-20 11:44:04 UTC
I tested this a bit more and found out that my ebuild was a bit wrong even though it basicly looked exactly the same as original. So this bug is invalid and I'm sorry for even posting it without proper testing beforehand. But I did learn something new about ebuilds so the effort was not completely wasted =)

Closing as invalid.
