Description Matthew Kennedy (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-09-27 00:27:36 UTC
Jeremy B. Maitin-Shepard <jbms@attbi.com>

Jeremy has done quite a bit of work submitting new ebuilds for app-emacs/. He
has also done some great work improving the two emacs eclasses. You can verify
this at bugzilla:
http://bugs.gentoo.org/buglist.cgi?query_format=&short_desc_type=allwordssubstr&short_desc=&long_desc_type=allwordssubstr&long_desc=&bug_file_loc_type=allwordssubstr&bug_file_loc=&keywords_type=allwords&keywords=&bug_status=UNCONFIRMED&bug_status=NEW&bug_status=ASSIGNED&bug_status=REOPENED&bug_status=RESOLVED&bug_status=VERIFIED&bug_status=CLOSED&emailreporter1=1&emailtype1=exact&email1=jbms%40attbi.com&emailassigned_to2=1&emailreporter2=1&emailcc2=1&emailtype2=substring&email2=&bugidtype=include&bug_id=&changedin=&chfieldfrom=&chfieldto=Now&chfieldvalue=&cmdtype=doit&remaction=run&namedcmd=everything+gcc3.1&order=Bug+Number&field0-0-0=noop&type0-0-0=noop&value0-0-0=

I asked Jeremy if he would be interested in helping out with Gentoo's emacs
related ebuilds, and he said yes. He is already pretty clued in about ebuilds,
especially the emacs related ones. I have seen and committed his work from
bugzilla, and can vouch for its quality.

I would like to see him made a developer as soon as possible. I will sponsor
his work for the initial mentoring period.

Matt

Hi Jeremy. Haven't forgotten about you. I've heard the process can take
up to 2 weeks :-/
Comment 2 Jeremy Maitin-Shepard 2003-10-10 14:53:33 UTC
Okay.
Comment 3 Kurt Lieber (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-10-18 14:52:23 UTC
reassigning to avenj.
Comment 4 Jon Portnoy (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-10-18 15:10:25 UTC
Reassigning to Seemant, who's been doing new dev stuff...

(By the way, Seemant: drop me a message if you want my assistance. School's
sucking up time, but I can probably find some.)

Seemant's busy - reassigning.

I need the following information:
Preferred username
Physical location

There's a questionnaire at http://dev.gentoo.org/~avenj/quiz - it's
not intended to be a test of what you know but rather a way to make sure
you know a few important concepts, especially relating to QA. If you can't
find answers in documentation on the website (policy guide and dev docs in
particular), ask mkennedy or myself.
Comment 7 Jon Portnoy (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-10-30 10:01:59 UTC
Set up. mkennedy, you may want to announce him on -dev

Jeremy hasn't been active the last 6 months or so and should be retired imo.
Comment 12 Jeremy Maitin-Shepard 2005-08-01 00:38:13 UTC
Yes please do this. I should have requested this a long time ago, since I have
indeed been inactive for quite some time. If possible though, rather than
deleting my bugzilla account, could you please change the e-mail address to
jbms@cmu.edu, as I may want to post bugs in the future. Thanks.
Comment 13 Bryan Østergaard (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-08-03 10:54:48 UTC
Infra, please retire jbms.
Comment 14 Lance Albertson (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-08-15 19:08:24 UTC
Retired him on my end, can the forum mods please make sure he's ok on there?

Cheers-
Comment 15 Tom Knight (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-08-16 02:32:55 UTC
jbms was never marked as a dev on the forums.
Comment 16 Seemant Kulleen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-08-26 19:07:26 UTC
Jeremy, your email address has been restored to jbms@cmu.edu

Closing out bug.
