Sorry for the delay, I've only now found time to look at this. There is a problem with popup.el: it defines a function "popup-menu" that collides with the function of the same name defined by Emacs itself (in mouse.el). I think that this issue should be resolved before we can add the package to the portage tree. Therefore I've now added the stable version 1.0 to the Emacs overlay: <https://overlays.gentoo.org/proj/emacs/browser/emacs-overlay/app-emacs/auto-complete>
Version 1.2 is available on the website. → http://cx4a.org/software/auto-complete/changes-v1.2.html And many thanks for taking it in the overlay!
There are two different tarballs for auto-complete-1.2.tar.bz available upstream: http://cx4a.org/pub/auto-complete-1.2.tar.bz2 http://cx4a.org/pub/auto-complete/auto-complete-1.2.tar.bz2 I assume that the second one is right. Version 1.2 is in the Emacs overlay, please test.
1.3 is available. changes: http://cx4a.org/software/auto-complete/changes.html#Changes_v1.3 download: http://cx4a.org/pub/auto-complete/auto-complete-1.3.tar.bz2
1.2 from the emacs overlay works for me. Thanks for putting it up there!
just renaming the ebuild in the overlay to 1.3 works for me.
(In reply to comment #9) > just renaming the ebuild in the overlay to 1.3 works for me. Bumped to 1.3 in overlay, with one small change (two additional doc files).
Great! Thanks!
Package moved to portage tree. Thanks Andrey and Arne.
