Description Aron Griffis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-09-26 16:49:28 UTC
first, I found that nprquake-sdl can't find pak0.pak unless my cwd is /usr/share/games/quake-data ... that's non-intuitive, to say the least.

second, changing renderers doesn't work at all! I tried "r_load sketch" and it didn't work...

okay, got the renderers to load. unfortunately the game really doesn't work,
though. the graphics are so mixed up that it's unplayable (and no, I don't
think it's what the author intended)

r_load sketch.so
r_load brush.so
r_load bprint.so

ive updated the ebuild so that cwd doesnt need to be set to /usr/share/games/quake-data
... the game will search cwd and then /usr/share/games-quake-data for the
pak files

i also fixed a bug in the original ebuild that tried to set the default rendering
style to sketch but did it wrong ... so in other words, when you emerge nprquake
and then run it, the rendering style will be set to sketch by default

Mike, the problem was that I have "fov 110" in my autoexec.cfg, which works
in quake but not nprquake. So things are cool now. Thanks...
