The file /usr/share/man/man8/modprobe.8.bz2 from sys-apps/module-init-tools-3.5 has the sentence "modprobe will also use module options specified on the kernel command line in the form of <module>.option>.", where the < and > characters seem to be used as some kind of parentheses (instead of their usual mathematical meanings). But then one of the > is unmatched. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Alt+F2 2. man:modprobe 3. ENTER
this is already fixed in newer versions
It does not seem to be fixed in sys-apps/module-init-tools-3.6-r1 (and newer versions require unmasking more packages; baselayout-2).
