1. Doesn't say how to override ~x86 mask 2. /etc/nagios/auth.users is owned by root:root and it need to be readable by apache 3. apache needs access nagios files in /usr/share/nagios/htdocs and /usr/lib/nagios/cgi-bin Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. follow the guide 2. 3. Actual Results: apache throws internal server error 500 (log says (13) permission denied to file /etc/nagios/auth.users Expected Results: able to log into nagios with full functionality I would add vi /etc/portage/package.keywords net-analyzer/nagios ~x86 net-analyzer/nagios-core ~x86 net-analyzer/nagios-plugins ~x86 net-analyzer/nagios-syntax ~x86 net-analyzer/nagios-imagepack ~x86 #eof vigr add apache at the end of the line starting with nagios chown nagios:nagios /etc/nagios/auth.users
I added the bit about needing chown to make the correct auth file readable, but the rest of the stuff is WONTFIX. 1. You are *not* supposed to specify ~arch in /etc/portage/package.keywords; just category/package. Besides, nagios is stable, so no need. 2. Fixed. 3. Yes? So? The doc already says something about it. You need to be more clear if you want any changes made, sorry. Closing.
