the installation blocks, and the following message appears :

hub 1-0:1.0: connect-debounce failed, port 6 disabled

and the message come back every second, you cannot do anything
my computer is a fujitsu siemens laptop model amilo si1520

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.put the cd inside and wait ...
2.the same problem with gentoo 10.0 and 10.1
3.

Actual Results:  
impossibility to install gentoo

Expected Results:  
would like to install it !

You may try the System Rescue cd to install Gentoo.

It sounds like the fujitsu siemens laptops are prone to this problem; it occurs with many different kernels including 2.6.31

Some people reported that the messages could be stopped by cycling the wireless on/off switch, or booting with it turned off. Could you try that?

Reopen this bug if Wormo's suggestion doesn't work.
