Description Myk Taylor 2009-12-14 17:21:54 UTC
openexr_viewers-1.0.1 fails to compile with the following error:

make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1

It seems the existing openexr_viewers-1.0.1-gcc44.patch is incomplete. In addition the existing patch applies a C header into a C++ file. Attaching fixed patch.

fixd openexr_viewers-1.0.1-gcc44.patch
Comment 3 Samuli Suominen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-12-15 09:58:39 UTC
It doesn't make any sense to write patches for ebuilds marked stable, if it's fixed in ~arch. Closing.

*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 282788 ***
Comment 4 Myk Taylor 2009-12-15 20:25:33 UTC
What ~arch ebuild are you referring to? openexr_viewers-1.0.1.ebuild is the only ebuild in media-gfx/openexr_viewers.

Moreover, whereas 282788 solves the problem for gcc-4.4.1, the package still fails to compile with gcc-4.4.2, which is what this patch fixes.
Comment 5 Samuli Suominen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-12-15 20:38:00 UTC
It's building fine here with 4.4.2, but updated the patch in Portage. Thanks.
