I think this thing is damned. Try rebuilding with MAKEOPTS="-j1".

Okay it seems -j1 solves the problem. Thanks :)
Comment 4 Rémi Cardona (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-12-10 10:29:34 UTC
Let's just flag the ebuild with a proper comment so that Diego doesn't go down on us. emake -j1 is just good enough for something that's seldom used and updated anyway.

@Shao, thanks for testing :)

You are more than welcome, thanks for the concern :)

Comment 7 Martin von Gagern 2009-12-14 10:30:06 UTC
This bug here is in fact bug #255479 resurfacing after its patch got dropped. And the issue is still present in the current 2.28.0 ebuild, so please fix it there as well, or remove that ebuild from tree.

Updated patch

This is an updated version of the patch from bug #255479 which does apply to gnome-user-docs 2.28.0, and should resolve this issue with ".xml2po.mo" here. Just in case you want a proper fix - the -j1 is good enough for me as well.

Also submitted https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=604521 upstream, asking for a new import of gnome-doc-utils.make which does include the official upstream fix for this issue.
