Do you have /var/lib/run/ dir ?
Comment 2 Thomas Reinhold 2009-12-10 17:59:58 UTC
I don't have /var/lib/run dir

# ls /var/lib/run
ls: cannot access /var/lib/run: No such file or directory

OK, this is a bug libdaemon ebuild -
'\' is missing in the econf line.

Once that's fixed, cdemud will work correctly.

How to fix it?
Comment 5 Rafał Mużyło 2009-12-13 15:32:51 UTC
Look at the libdaemon ebuild, fix that line,
regenerate manifest and reemerge it
(well, short term you could create that dir,
but once the ebuild is fixed and lib is reemerged,
that dir will no longer be necessary).

Thanks Rafał. Fixed in libdaemon-0.14-r1.
