Daniel,
For your three bugs here, please get upstream to accept your patch for --docdir=. You can update your gentoo bugs with the upstream reference and if they don't get to it in a timely manor, we will include them.

This shouldn't be necessary for terminal, as it accepts docdir without an additional patch. This is not the case for thunar and xarchiver. I will open an upstream bug this evening. Maybe this is also a problem for other xfce apps but this three are the ones I have recognized here.

This is actually fixed in Portage with 1.1.0 now,

--with-html-dir=${EPREFIX}/usr/share/doc/${PF}/html
