After an emerge -u world the ripping process stoped working for me in transcode step. I tried to upgrade dvdrip from version 0.50.13 (last stable) to 0.50.15. First I have to craete a symlink from libMagick.so.6 to libMagick.so (after upgrade dvdrip). After that the error in 0.50.13 appears again, here is the output message: Job 'Transcoding video - title #1, chapter #8, pass 1' failed. Executed command: mkdir -m 0775 -p '/mnt/winxp/rip/base/mafia/tmp' && cd /mnt/winxp/rip/base/mafia/tmp && dr_exec transcode -H 10 -a 0 -x vob - i /mnt/winxp/rip/base/mafia/vob/001-C008 -w 2000 -b 128,0,0 -s 3.782 -- a52_drc_off -V -I 3 -f 24,1 -R 1 -y divx5,null --psu_mode -- nav_seek /mnt/winxp/rip/base/mafia/tmp/mafia-001-C008-nav.log --no_split - o /dev/null --print_status 20 && echo DVDRIP_SUCCESS Last output was: transcode v0.6.6 (C) 2001-2003 Thomas

please try higher version of transcode
I tried to install the last version of transcode (that is masked) but it tries to update avifile (to 0.7.32-20030219) also that fails to compile.
Which bug number belongs to your avifile problem?
The bug's version is 28311. It is closed becouse avifile 0.7.38 compiles fine (its true, Its the last stable and I have it in my system). But when I try to emerge trascode (0.6.9) it tries to downgrade avifile to 0.7.32 (and it does not compile as explained in bug 28311).
After the last emerge sync transcode started to compile fine, so this is no more a bug, thanks.
