This works fine for me, but I think it needs a dependency to net-libs/libpcap.

You need to assign the copyright of your ebuild to Gentoo before we can have
a look (ie the cvs headers)

Suggestions for ebuild

Looks good, here is some more suggestions for your ebuild. I dont have a
problem of adding your ebuild to cvs if the changes were made from the patch.

np, you're the master ;-))

But: I commited an ebuild to games-(arcade?), and the maintainer said:

  S="${WORKDIR}/${P}" is standard, you should not set this explicitly.

So, erm, I think it's time for an updated and common way of writing and committing
an ebuild to you, isn't it? I think that's an issue for gentoo-dev-ml.BTW,
