I'm using Gentoo for a while now an thought I should give back a bit ;-)
If you start ksensors it would crash immediately, you can start it with the
--nodock option, but this is a poor workaround. This problem was anoying
me quite a long time, but I found a solution out there in the internet and
modified the ebuild with this knowledge.
All you have to do is put the patch in the ksensors/files dir and the ebuild
to ksensors. It's my first ebuild, I hope I made it somewhat right ;-)

(I posted this ebuild a week ago, but somehow the bug-report disappeared, including
my account at bugs.gentoo.org...strange)

Yeah, we lost some bug reports due to a some hardware problems.

Anyway, I committed this to portage (slightly modified your ebuild).

Thanks!
